An Organization That provides a no-kill rescue dog rescue

Some elderly dogs are ignored and neglected by their owners. However, a man’s best friend should always feel welcomed and cared for in the place they consider home. At habitat4hounds, nfp (h4h), our team provides a safe and loving no-kill rescue for senior dogs.

Our Goal

Our goal is to give every dog that passes through our shelter peace, care, and comfort while they are here. The dream is to find them new, loving homes and better lives than they once had.

About Us

Founded in 2007 by Jennifer Michaels, h4h has been all about caring and providing a better life for older and homeless dogs in the Chicago area. We are a non profit 501(c)3 approved organization that operates a no kill rescue for loving dogs that need special care.
